Re: Nautel NV10LT

Sorry to revive an old topic (and this is mostly directed at Jeff) .. is there any service information available for the old Tectrol power supplies used in the NV series? I've been repairing and modifying a bunch of them (replacing the awful green semiconductor insulators with proper silicon pads), ...

Re: Z 10 rigs

I have also successfully repaired Z PA modules .. transistors were purchased from DigiKey.

Also, having since totally re-built the rectifier modules using different fuses, I have not had a single PSU TAP fault in the 18 months since installing them. :D

Re: FM Composite isolation

Well curiosity got the better of me. I made a test measurement of stereo cross-talk using a 3FT length of Belden 1694A between stereo generator and exciter. Then repeated the test with an additional 100FT of Belden 1694A. I was quite surprised actually how little difference the extra long piece of c...

Re: FM Composite isolation

Thanks for your thoughts. Chuck: The composite source is a STL receiver. Cable length is about 50 feet (which is not ideal) but this will be a temporary situation while the main transmitter is worked on. DT: Good to know the video transformer stands a chance of breaking the ground loop. I'll take so...

FM Composite isolation

I have a question for the brains trust: I may be facing a situation where composite program needs to be fed into a FM exciter. However the input equipment and transmitter are on separate floors, and are on separate power feeds. I don't have a lot of control over how this situation came to be, but I ...

Re: Sony RCP-750 CCU preview question.

It doesn't latch.

You have to program your router panel to do the latching for you.

Re: Sony RCP-750 CCU preview question.

I thought the RCP just outputs a contact closure when the iris control is pressed.
Normally it's connected to a GPIO contact on a router panel, and the programming of the panel determines if the switching is momentary or latching.
