Re: ETRS Reporting Forms 2 & 3 09/27/2017

We use ServiceNow (the abomination that the FCC is using for this reporting) at my day job and have found it does not like IE or Edge at all. It prefers Chrome or FireFox.

Looking for MusicGen installer

When we bought our NexGen system from Prophet way back when, it came with MusicGen installed (and licensed). I am looking to finally do an OS upgrade on the system (still running XP and is showing signs of age) but have hit a roadblock with MusicGen. The rest of the software RCS can provide. They sa...

Re: Streaming monitoring?

I use Nagios for monitoring items within the station (network switches, UPS units, etc). I set up a simple module to check for the mount points for our stream (we use a Shoutcast streaming server). If the stream encoder is sending, the mount point exists. If the encoder goes offline for some reason,...

Re: Scheduled Downloading of files?

WinSCP for Windows has very nice scripting capabiliites. We use it at my 'day job' to automate some data transfers (via task scheduler) for both FTP and SFTP protocols. The WinSCP website has a pretty decent tutorial (at least, it was good enough for me). The TL;DR version is that you create a file ...

I just bought a wire wrap tool recently. At my day job, we still have lines running on protector blocks that have WW terminations. These were installed by Bell Telephone in the 70's.

Re: PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD MANU.

I have used Express PCB, PCB123, and another whose name escapes me at the moment. OSH Park is another. As someone else mentioned, check out Nuts & Volts for vendors. You can also look through the Hack-A-Day forums (just ignore the trolls, unless you need the entertainment). Some of these companies d...

Re: Good place to buy RF jumpers (US)?

..their contact page does seem to work... I notice that as well when I went to the site. The issue is that the SSL certificate for the contact page expired December 31, 2015. I took a look at the cert and allowed my browser to accept it anyway, which allowed the page to display. Firefox on Ubuntu L...

Re: Good place to buy RF jumpers (US)?

...Are you certain it's the cable? Reasonably certain. No idea where this one came from in the first place (I do not think it is original). Given that the connector literally fell off one end after having been in service for at least 7 or 8 years, I am guessing the other end may have issues as well...
