Re: SBE convention in Madison, WI

I got there late on Tuesday and left for home around noon today. First one I've been to and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Wish they had podcasts or some recording of the ones I had to miss on Tuesday.

Re: Frese 'Audio Pilot'

The A/V combo was fast enough that percussion didn't sound bad through it, but given the increased bass content of songs in the late 70's and beyond, they would pump on that material. Enter the DAP.

Re: Maximum STA renewals ? Longest STA operation is ?

There are several AM's in Florida that have operated for years on STA's related to power increase/pattern change situations related to Cuban interference. Don't know if that will ever change.

Re: 80's AM loudness War

One of my stations has a modified DAP being driven by a Orban 412A that is barely moving. This feeds the STL. At the shack I have a 9100. Nice and loud, plenty of positive peaks, but it doesn't sound as processed as it is. My favorite 70's chain is Audimax/DPE/Volumax, with the go-faster resistor in...

BC-1H1 remote and AUDIO in

As the manual does not say, what voltages am I dealing with on the metering and is this a transmitter with high voltages on the remote start/stop, plate on/off controls? Seems like it is, b...
