I believe OP is outside the US.
That would be correct. They are in New Zealand.

The email and user name for the OP have a long history of forum spam reports. The links have been removed, and the op is blocked from posting. If they are legit, they can contact one of us admins to unlock them.

Visit Our Very Own Mike Shane's sites

Scott Fybush did a nice showing of some of our very own Mike Shane's sites in the midwest.

Re: Harris HT30 issue

First a couple questions: 1. When you say random faults, is there a frequently-found fault(s)? For example, do you always get a Plate Overload? 2. When the transmitter tries to restart, do you see the front panel meters do anything abnormal. Example: plate voltage rises, but no plate current? Plate...

Harris HT30 issue

So I am helping a friend with a Harris HT30 issue, and suggested I'd ask the brain trust here for any input. So this HT30 is randomly shutting down. Sometimes with no faults, other times with other random faults. No two times are a like (not the same fault indicator twice). After it shuts down, it a...

Re: Mounting stuff to old concrete block wall?

When you're all done, you'll find the dryer's cord is 6 inches to short to reach the new outlet. Or as my wife would say, I tried to add an outlet, ended up replacing the roof. Please don't say that:( KPJL FM wrote: ↑ Thu Jul 20, 2017 8:28 am When you're all done, you'll find the dryer's cord is 6 ...

Re: You need this

If you've never seen Steve Lampen's demonstration where Belden studied the differences between Monster Oxygen Free 12 GA cable, and "off the shelf" Zip Cord from Home Depot, it's totally worth the time. Is that online somewhere? I'd like to share it with some technically knowledgeable non-broadcast...

If you've never seen Steve Lampen's demonstration where Belden studied the differences between Monster Oxygen Free 12 GA cable, and "off the shelf" Zip Cord from Home Depot, it's totally worth the time. At the very least, for audio applications, there was no technical difference. On frequencies up t...

Re: Mounting stuff to old concrete block wall?

DO NOT mount it directly to the concrete wall. YOU WILL REGRET IT, when the time comes to replace it. (Or the next home owner does. And Yes, it will need to be replaced. Typically those outlets do after 10 years or so.). As suggested above. Mount a piece of wood to the wall, and mount the receptacle...

Re: Hello?

The transfer switch doesn't try to phase match the utility at all and its transfer is lightning fast. The SCRs hate it when they get a sudden phase change. Ours does, but the cooling pumps don't like the fast hit, even in phase, so ours is set to break, wait one second or so, then make. We found th...

Summer. People go on vacation. (This forum gets quiet during the summer normally)

TV Folks are scrambling to get the FCC 399 form completed.

Fun stuff like that.

AMC 9 is suddenly disintegrating in space

The former communications satellite (all the TV folks are familiar with this one. Was once a big CNN Newsource bird) is unexpectedly falling apart in space, and the ground pictures are very interesting. https://arstechnica.com/science/2017/07/a-large-satellite-appears-to-be-falling-apart-in-geostatio...
