Re: Changing automation

Thanks TPT, Great information. I will pass this along so we can plan accordingly. Thank you, as well, grich. I have tried to get us upgraded to Skylla. George brings it up every time I have to call him. Dave Potratz has tried numerous times (he and our owner are old buddies). Still no go. I will kee...

Changing automation

Hello all, I am currently working for a 4 station group that, with some exceptions, run SMARTS. We are an odd-ball in the group since we run the Linux based RSHD models, while everyone else runs the old DOS version of SMARTS. The main reason behind this is because the owner has been using SMARTS pro...

That being said, we were able to sit down and discuss more about duties and pay and benefits. Along with the pay comes a fuel b...

Re: Moving station, looking for network help.

OK. From where we stand now, it looks like we are going with a Linksys WRT54G2 wireless router and a Cisco SR2016 16-port 10/100/1000 Gigabit Switch. I tested things out on a computer we use to stream our signal to the internet, take feeds ocassionally from a sister station (and every once in awhile...

Re: Moving station, looking for network help.

Yeah, forgot to mention that. We will be running Ethernet to all computers in house, but we still need WiFi on occasion. Our GM is heading to one of the other stations to get some equipment will still need. Will let him know.

Moving station, looking for network help.

Hello, Just joined today. I have been at an FM station in Hereford TX (KNNK - 43,000 watt C2) for almost 3 years now. I was there in 2001 when the station was new, came back in 2010 when the owner died to help his wife run the station. I was operations manager up until this month, when the station w...
