That's on the daily 10AM BAS test. If I was still at work I could have posted a picture of it since the system saves them.

Re: Looking for system to put SMS in live broadcast

I don't know of any that will do SMS. We just type them into a graphic. We use TV Interact to do Twitter posts to air.

Time to change a light bulb!

Oh. I was just going off what it said in the article.

Edit: I bet it was their satellite station KDLV which was on analog 5. (Which is the former KDLT, before it moved into Souix Falls.)

Check out this neat video. Tower climber climbing up the inactive KDLT-TV Tower to change the light at the top.

We use "yellow sheets."

...in other words...paper. Lots and lots of paper.

Re: Quincy Newspapers Inc.

whats their IT/engineering depts like? Are they pretty hands on with their stations or kind of let each station do its own thing? Our IT guy is worried he is gonna get the ax because they take care of their IT stuff at the corporate level IT is very centralized. Everything has to go through them an...

Re: Quincy Newspapers Inc.

Anyone work at one of their stations? We are one of the stations they are taking over, and everyone has questions and are obviously nervous about their department going away. Our IT guy is worried they do all their IT support out of their corporate office which means he will get let go...does anyone...

Re: Chromakey foreground camera

(Ask any production student under 25-30 these days what a Luma-Key is... watch that reaction!!) Here ya go... 31. Yep. No clue what a Luma-Key is. In analog video, instead of using a specific chroma phase to create the "keyhole", you used "superblack" to do it. That is black which is 0 IRE. Normal ...

Re: PTZ camera and 3X3 videowall

I connected Sony BRC-H900 PTZ Camera to Black Magic mini converter (from SDI to HDMI) and HDMI output to RGB Mediawall 2900 (which is video wall controller) HDMI input, and this signal from video wall controller goes to my 3X3 video wall. But the color of picture from camera looks reddish. So I con...

Re: LPFM applications now in CDBS

I'm really shocked Marquette didn't try. There was a *huge* LPFM push in 2000 before the 3rd adjacent rule got slapped on LPFM and basically killed any chances of MUR getting an over-the-air signal in Milwaukee at that time. (Not that we didn't try to get someone to donate an AM to us after that...)

Re: GPI to USB?

I think what you might want is a Hagstrom KE-USB36 USB keyboard encoder. As it happens, Ross has a white paper on this very topic here . -- Jeff Interesting. We have a Vision 4 as our main board, not a Crossover (that's our backup lol). I wonder if the setup would be similar. Since I'm assuming tha...

GPI to USB?

Hey all. I know we've talked about something that will take an output of my switcher and send a trigger to a USB port on a Mac Mini. I can't remember *what* it was we talked about here though. I'm trying to research this to present to my boss. We've got 2 Mac Minis that run Keynote which drive the d...
