Re: Carmakers to drop broadcast receivers?

I don't know about completely dropping radios from cars. I know I don't have a CD player in my car (by design...as I have a "media receiver") Now... VHF-Low

I wonder why the FCC even allocated the VHF-Low band for DTV? Many stations moved to UHF or VHF-High due to the nightmares of VHF-Low DTV reception. Of course you can cover the same area on paper with much less power on VHF than UHF.

Re: So wait... The FCC actually cares about legal IDs?!

Maybe the feds realize there are more important things than Nipplegate... lol. I remember going through Fargo, ND a few years ago and hearing Q98 incorrectly ID as KQWB-FM Fargo Moorhead. The city of license is Moorhead, MN across the Red River, therefore they could have ID'ed as KQWB-FM Moor...

Re: New Class C4 / Remove underbuilt's PRM

A few years ago they created a Class C0 (100kW at 300-450 meters) out of the lower height class C FM's allowing slighter tighter spacing.

Arizona FM's in Minnesota

I picked up a bunch of Phoenix FM's driving on I-94 last summer... quite interesting to hear La Nueva 105.9 and 101.5 Jamz booming in like locals in Alexandria.

Re: Setting up an Optimod 2300 for NPR Classical Format

How about the "Music-Heavy" preset? It sounds loud for music, but spoken word might sound a little harsh.
