I was under the impression that those rules about towers under 200' were not for communications towers, but for meteorological towers. It seemed like the under 200' rule for them was due to the fact meteorological towers are usually much smaller in diameter compared to communications towers and beca...

Tower marking and lighting rules

With my particular background and because the fact I never deal with it in my current position, I am unfamiliar with FAA/FCC tower lighting and marking rules. Is there some resources out there that kind of put them all together? Thanks for the help!

ya volicon works well...well at first when we got our servers there were a lot of bugs but now that they are worked out it works like a champ...used to use masslogger.

Tips to capture board audio to stream

An LP FM i help out wants to start streaming...I want to use an output off their board and capture and stream it using a computer (3ghz 8 gig ram) not sure what kind of audio input card to use yet havent looked into it but im more worried about what software out there i can use? any ideas? Thanks!

The issue ended up being the fact they were using the USB input on their arc-10 mixer. Apparently it doesn't jive with Zara studio real well. Using a traditional sound card and it works like a champ.

Ya I did that, I discovered they were using a earlier verison of the software, so we are trying the most up to date verison and give it a few days

TV engineer doing radio side job

Ive been doing a little side work for a LP radio station that's having issues with their automation. They are using the free zara radio software, but it seems to randomly freeze up. Their hardware is up to date and has good specs, but for no rhyme or reason the software will just stop playing music....

Would a L band rf source be able to do that? Ive never thought about it before. But wouldn't a L band signal getting picked up by a dish get filtered out?
