Re: BW Broadcast transmitter

Nope, no ethernet access. The little link lights not on on either end. They haven't gotten back with me yet, but of course it went down on Sundays as they always do. Pretty sure it happened weeks ago. The LPFM's computer and mine both went down back then. I guess the transmitter would have stayed on...

BW Broadcast transmitter

Sent my guy up to my isolated 4WD only tower site to raise the antenna a bit and crank up the power on my TX300v2 this morning after my FCC grant. When he got there, the power level that normally floats around the little screen was frozen, and no amount of button pushing would unlock the screen even...

Re: Omnia One

Java is very important because it works equally poorly across all platforms. So we can take comfort that Linux and Mac folks get to share the joy.

Re: Omnia One

Finally was able to get Java console to accept an exception for the web server. The newer Java doesn't like that nasty old code.

Omnia One

i'm sure this is a broken record around here. But I just got an older Omnia One FM. I hooked it up to my network at home and was able to log right into the web interface with zero trouble. I took it to the studio site and can't get it into it with three different browsers on two different computers....

Re: Ubiquity link

Still same issue. I don't think this is a Barix issue because it will still drop out when the Barix isn't streaming. Plus it does it with the Shoutcast server and winamp. The antennas aren't shared. This is a translator at the site where the FM was before it was moved to bigger city. Just using the ...

Re: Ubiquity link

I assumed I could handle that as well. The link is more than adequate for surfing the web. I may go two hours without a dropout and then get 2 or 3 within a couple of minutes. Each time you hear a hiccup where some packets are dropped and then it disconnects for a couple of secionds then picks back ...

Re: Ubiquity link

Yes, a 100 at each end> I have also tried a shoutcast stream to both Winamp and the Barix receiver. A little more forgiving, but definitely not air quality.

Re: Ubiquity link

Actually the access point won't let me turn off Airmax. It has a greyed out check mark and I can't change it.

Re: Ubiquity link

Thanks Kevin. Yes Chan 1 is terminated with a resistive plug. Chan0 has the little pigtail to the type N for the dish. There is a 950 STL in the building. The antennas are a couple of feet apart at the top and the cables go up together. But the airviewer shows no interference, not that that means an...

Ubiquity link

Any of you barix via Rocket guys got any suggestions for me. about a 1 mile link from a 950 4 foot dish at the transmit end and a paraflector at the receive end. A couple hundred feet of half inch line at each end probably negate any antenna gain I guess but it's a one mile shot total line of sight ...

Translator antenna

Putting a new one on the air and to deal with a third adjacent situation and I need to keep my 109 dbu contour from hitting the ground from 193 feet COR and 250 watts. Is there a particular style of antenna or number of bays that can make that happen more easily? Horizontal or vertical? Trying not t...

Barix repair

Does anybody work on these. I can't find anything on the website. I have four exstreamers that have conked in the last few months. One totally dead. One no ethernet response. One I can log into but no audio out and one with highly distorted audio out. At the price point, probably not worth fixing un...

Re: Barix Exstreamer

Well, I pulled the power adaptor off a working instreamer and plugged it in and same result. I'll dig around and find another one. Maybe it's the right on the edge and needs an extra half volt or something. Thanks for the help.
