Yup Bill I have blackice its a firewall (It worked up to XP I think) The version I have has smart filtering meaning IT WILL NOT ALLOW ANYTHING IF YOU DIDNT REQUEST IT.... (I'm redirecting them to localhost although I'm sure 0 would work just as well) Yea I used to have '127.0.0.1 localhost" in my host file as everyone said it was needed but then I realised its all BS,your computer knows what LOCALHOST is and doesnt need that so i took it out years ago and started us...

I don't know if just a zero in the IP field would be enough to block access to the sites in yor file, but that appears to be the intent.
Yup just 1 zero works fine :)

I have blackice and although my ISP has a filter in place SOME STUFF still comes thru to blackice.. (It has SMART FILTERING ENABLED) not much though...

I have port 113 blocked totally as well as ports 137,138 and 139

Ya CHROME is the worst browser as far as privacy goes........ (It reports everything to google and who knows who else!!) if you have a different browser,I would highly recommend it! (Uninstall Chrome and then clean your reg of the crap left behind)

They went back to the original V (..._) they had and I think thats a GOOD thing.......


I havent heard it on any other stations although maybe I havent listenend closely enough.. (I enjoy 1.08 alot)

If you keep javascript DISABLED you wont see 1/2 that stuff....

Im on IE6 (MyIE2 (IE wrapper)) and I 99% have them disabled as its faster and safer....
