New version of the board software.

Post by NECRAT » Sun Feb 01, 2015 9:00 pm

As you can probably see, we have a new version of the board software.

A HUGE thanks to Tim Burke for all his hard work on this.

If you notice any bugs, or have any issues, please post them in this thread, so we have one spot to see what is wonky.

So far, so good.

It brought my attention to the logo at the top of the page. Those tubes -- look like a pair of 3-1000s from here? Getting 50kw out? Not bad! :)

I hear tube life is a bit short.

And thank you Tim!

nm. duplicate. So here's a question...how do you delete posts like this one? It appears that option is gone?

There's no "logout" button. There's plenty of room up at the top for that. Having to go looking through menus is a trend that unfortunately has taken over the world, and it just opens sites up to hacking.

Top-right corner of the page, click on your username and it drops down a menu where you can logout easily..

The option to delete posts was removed from regular users, as an administrator decision.
If you want a post deleted, just PM one of us, and we'll do it.

Those tubes are in a functioning transmitter in Buffalo, NY.

The forward power meter is off of WTIC's DX50 in Hartford (now a standby)
And the FM antenna is actually history, it was located on a telephone pole on a golf course just outside of Worcester, MA.

Can you get rid of the black screen that comes up after clicking "Mark All Forums Read"? Not needed, distracting, dumb. Can't UNDO it, so why even tell me. I know what I clicked.

And I still want my separate "logout" item that's always present at the top of the screen.

My first impression was "awright! Who's been messin with my laptop"?

Actually, I like it. Seems easier for these old peepers to read. No complaints from here.

I've added a "Logout" link at the top of the page, you should see this now.

I'll see if I can do anything about the popup on "Mark All Forums Read"... this'll likely take a bit for me to research further.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Hopefully the logout item was easy to add.

At least the new version takes me immediately to the main index page after logging in. I never understood why phbbs has to have so many delays in it, nor why it automatically takes me to certain pages or views several seconds after I do something.

Got it. Thanks. Speaking of thanks, looks like that feature is gone.
