Need to split audition out on console.

Post by musiconradio.com » Fri Nov 01, 2013 9:11 am

Got a radio systems 12 console. Only one audition out. Need to send it to two sources. Line distribution Amp. Any suggestions.

We were looking at this. Your thoughts

I'd build some simple resistor pads and split it off that way, providing you have enough make-up gain. Cheap and easy to do with a bit of perf-board.

Online guides abound for the resistor values.

That DA from RDL is only for unbalanced non-pro gear, and I wouldn't use it in a BC environment. Balanced in & out is the best way to transmit low-level audio.

Look at E-bay--search audio distribution amplifier. Gentner, Audiometrics, ATI show up, all would work for your purpose.

Advantage of the DA is that you can set the output level for each piece of equipment you are driving.
