Meet and greet

Post by Doberman Guy » Fri Dec 14, 2012 2:37 pm

Some place on this site I glanced and saw that on the 1st Thursday of every month there is a meeting of Ham operators at a restaurant in Siler City, what I do not remember is the where? I would love to meet some Ham's my call is WB9SLW since 1973, and my wife and I are heading up from Florida to look at some property very near that city, just scoping out the area. If anyone has any info please contact me at www.mikehalley.com or e-mail dobermanguy2@gmail.com. It would be great if someone had a 2m freq to contact anyone in the area as well.

My first Novice contact with North Carolina was a guy in Siler City. 1966 or 67. Don't know why I remember that.

edit::: Oops: guess I posted that info before at the linked page! Short memory. Particularly eerie is that I used almost exactly the same words. 60 is approaching fast. I guess you could say I'm "going like 60!"
