Repeater Tone Board

Post by Marathon Don » Thu Feb 21, 2013 1:18 pm

Our radio club is attempting to install a new tone board into our ancient Motorola MSR2000 repeater. I don't want to say we're in over our heads... but I think we're in over our heads. Our long-time repeater mentor and overlord moved out of state and took his knowledge with him. We've wired it in to the best of our collective understanding. The repeater still works (thankfully), and the tone boards' LED lights up, but we can still key up the machine without tones. Any of you guys ever done of these? The board we're attempting to install is a Communications Specialists TS-64WDS.

The MSR-2000 is a great box, always liked those. More than likely, there is going to be one or more jumpers to fully use the aftermarket tone board.
There is a ton of info here:

You should be able to glean enough info from there to get it done.
