RME 4350A

Post by RGORJANCE » Wed Jul 10, 2013 3:45 pm

I am getting my "you know what kicked" on this old receiver. I am trying to realign this beast and am running into lots of stress! I'm beginning to think my brain turned to sawdust. I've tuned directionals that were easier than this.

I have been using a Heath signal generator and frequency counter to verify frequency. I am just about ready to break out the scope to trace the signal. After many hours fighting it, I quit for the day.

It seems like the manual is incorrect in the identification/lo9cation of the coils. Has anyone out there ever done a complete alignment on one of these rcvrs??? Any tips would be appreciated.

Found either the rcvr is miss wired, or the docmentation is wrong-----or both. The coil location isn't correctly shown in the manual. That makes for fun when trying to align it. I put the long handled sledge back in storage.
