Anyone experiencing extended tropo this afternoon? Hearing stuff from out of the area on 2 meters including a 9-land repeater on the same freq as a local one (22/82). Haven't checked the SSB part of the band yet.

DXers in the Midwest were reporting some pretty impressive stuff last week. Like Toronto<=>Wausau. And more recently, Halifax<=>Washington.

Of course, I missed the opening driving from Denver to Sacramento with a travelling companion who wouldn't let me turn the radio on...

I've got a client with a bunch of OTA-fed translators around the Midwest and let's just say it's been a fun summer. On some, it's basically received-station roulette.

Wausau must have been in the center of it. The 22/82 repeater I heard was apparently there, going by the call letters and checking them in a callsign lookup site.
