classic hits 1630 am 88.9 fm (part 15) pictures

Post by kc8gpd » Sat May 31, 2014 8:28 pm

here are pics of my newly redone studio on my part 15 am and fm combo station. i live in an apartment so i have numerous (maybe 15-30) potential listeners within the 300-500 ft radius the am and fm gets.

you can view the pictures here https://db.tt/vYNn1vJd

thought everyone here would enjoy the studio.

i use a talking house 5 and ATU (with plans to go to an iAM or Rangmeaster) for am and a main WAIO inc BR8000 certified fm on the FM side along with two barix linked remote sites running Broadcast Vision BV2001 transmitters both certified as well each having a 300-500ft range.

I changed your link from the Facebook one to the Drop Box, as that link works correctly.

Nice setup!

Have you noticed any noise on the mic channels? I've used two of those Arrakis mixers, and both of them have somewhat noisy mic preamps.

i have noticed some hiss in the background if no mics are hooked up and passing audio but it isn't noticeable when there is audio on the channel. over all it seems to be a good board for the low cost. my gripe though (which to my understanding was fixed in the ARC-10) was the lack of an audition channel on the ARC-8 which is the model i have.
