SSAC to shut down in September

If you have tower light flashers by SSAC, you might want to look into spares before the company is shut down later this year.

Nearly 50 to lose jobs when Lysander plant closes

In 2010, SSAC was purchased by SymCom, a competitor; in January 2014, SymCom was in turn bought out by Littelfuse. Now this.

I was under the impression that the old SSAC factory location was closing down. I assume that production will be consolidated to another location.

That's possible, but not what I get from any of the stories locally. The impression I got was that SSAC as an entity was going away completely, with only SymCom remaining. Of course, what we see here is from the SSAC end of things, not from the corporate end. Yet another business disappearing from New York... but you're from the Binghamton area, so you know all about that.
