Audio Processor Setting

Post by Larry Milliken » Wed Apr 20, 2016 6:52 am

Hello,

I would like some advise about the Optimod 9400 presets. Our station is news-talk during the week and oldies on the weekend. We use the "General" preset for talk, and I thought about using a different one for the oldies-but it seems the music sounds just fine with the "General" preset. Is it worth experimenting with another preset for the music? I know this topic is very subjective but good audio quality is more important to us than "loudness", even though our ND-5 easily modulates 125% positive peaks. Thanks.

Larry

One of my clients running an oldies format uses the "General Purpose Medium" preset and it sounds very nice. We've tried others along with some custom tweaks but always seem to come back to that one.

I may have misspoken. I think our Optimod is a 9200, and we use the "General Purpose Medium" preset which sounds good to me. I saw on E-Bay another 9200 for $1749.00, or make offer. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Orban-Optimod-9 ... Swe7BW1fDY

can you set up dayparts in the processor to change presets on a schedule?

Yes, you can assign the remote connector pins to change the processor settings.
