Audio Skimmer Help

Post by BDatin » Tue Jan 13, 2015 12:47 pm

Having an issue with our SkimmerPlus software. We're feeding audio through an Echo AudioFire12 interface into our SkimmerPlus program. It'll record audio for about 12 minutes then stop unexpectedly with an error message "Converter Terminated Unexpectedly". Running on a WideOrbit machine and Win 7. BSI tech support from SkimmerPlus couldn't find the problem. Tried installing different drivers recommended from AudioFire's FAQs. Working with the IT manager to figure out a solution. So Far, we've had success with an ASI6114 card feeding audio to the Skimmer program without hiccups, so we're thinking it's the AudioFire12 interface and a problem with it's converter. :?:

Well... if changing audio cards fixes the problem, the problem is probably with the audio card or driver.
Out of curiosity..why such costly cards for a skimmer? I run ours on $12 Star Tech cards and it works fine.
