CBS Labs Voltmeter

Post by kcbooboo » Thu Dec 26, 2013 1:35 pm

A long ago in a galaxy fairly close (1967-1970), when the Audimax/Volumax were big hits. I recall CBS also marketed an audio voltmeter that had a logarithmic meter scale that spanned something like 60dB (or more). I haven't found anything on the web about it. I don't even know if it was RMS or not.

Was it just wishful thinking, or did it really exist? And if so, does anyone have any info about it or know what happened to it?

Just cleaning up some end-of-year thoughts.

Happy New Year coming up.

I saw an auction yesterday for a bunch of data sheets. Turns out there was a CBS wide-band program monitor (meter) model 600 that had something like a 90dB range. So it DID exist. Must not have been a big seller. No other info about it. There was also some info on the web about a model 700.

Happy 4th of July holiday to those in the US.
