CNN New York is looking for talented Broadcast Maintenance Engineers. In the CNN BEST department (Broadcast Engineering and Systems Technology), these professionals are referred to as Broadcast Support Engineers and provide system, board, and component-level technical support of fast-paced, 24x7x365 live news and entertainment production environments.
Consider applying if you are a motivated, self-starting individual who has experience installing, repairing, calibrating, and maintaining broadcast systems such as audio consoles, studio and field cameras, production switchers, video routers and servers, intercom systems, file-based graphics, playback, and editing systems, RF & fiber transmission, LCD and LED video monitors, and network-based control systems. Our team gives you a great chance to touch all aspects of news and/or entertainment production systems, including direct support of on-air critical systems. We perform on-site user support for critical/on-air newsroom equipment via direct contact with the client; back-up or assist BEST Production Support Specialists with non-critical news systems and desktop PCs, including installation, problem correction, removal/replacement, or other tasks as necessary to ensure continuation of customer work productivity and/or on-air transmission. We would like to hear from talented individuals with all broadcast maintenance skill levels.
