Looking for Talent on my streams

Post by bogointeractive » Wed Sep 05, 2012 5:08 pm

Hi all, been a long time since I have been on here and wow it feels good to be home. I am running a few streams here from a Home PC and trying to find good on air talent is hard, why you ask. Well it is simple that no one is donating to a stream these days. But I am looking to change that. But for right now I am looking for some talented folks if there are some out there who can help me out. If you want to know the formats I have a classic hits/oldies, 80's/90's Hits, and a Rock station that is the crown jewel. So if you guys and gals can help me out I would be thankful. If you want to listen to the streams you can check them out here. http://cloudrad.io/asylumradio/listen.asx, http://cloudrad.io/thepartybogo/listen.asx, and http://cloudrad.io/bogo3/listen.asx I put all Windows Media Player links. if you want to use winamp or something else you can just put .pls behind them to work as well. Again, please contact me if you can help.

because of the worthless company they were hosted by. They canceled my account for just asking basic questions. What a way to run your company, into the ground. But anyways I will put up my new links in time. http://50.22.217.204:8459/listen.pls is the rock station and http://50.22.217.204:8422/listen.plsis the other for now. I am working on the 3rd one.

With all due respect, the audio on the rock channel is pretty distorted. It almost sounds as if you're clobbering the input to the sound card with too much level. It seems to me in spite of being such high energy music, you don't want to process any more than required to protect over driving the sound card while protecting the integrity of the music dynamic range. Trying to sound like 70's over-processed radio today in the 21st Century is counter productive.

The rock channel doesn't sound distorted on the Papa Roach song that's on-the-air right now. But it does sound very compressed and is hard on my ears to listen to. But oooh hey Soundgarden!

Edit: I didn't see artist/title btw on the 80/90's hits channel.

I am still looking. My streams sound reasonable now. Been doing some tweaking of the audio both content and settings and I think I have it set about where it should be.
