Re: Broadcast Electronics Console Model 5S150 Issues

re: that BE console, the 150 series IIRC didn't have the program/audition selector for the VU meters but the 250 did. The 250 also had step attenuators. Both used the same plug in cards of which there were at least two versions. Still quite a few of those in service. I haven't worked on a 150 serie...

Re: Broadcast Electronics Console Model 5S150 Issues

It worked! Thanks. Now part two. The VU meters are functioning only in program when switching to the Audition or external monitor. Does a particular board have jumpers for this (I didn't see any). What board would you recommend to troubleshoot this. Thank You.

Re: Singling out 2 stations on same frequency

SAMCO SAM 159 Very directional . Expensive, but works. However if new translator coming on line in your market on same frequency, It is not going to happen.

Broadcast Electronics Console Model 5S150 Issues

Thank you to everyone who sent the manual for our console. It is appreciated. Now the fun part, prior owners had made modifications to the board (uggh!!) The first issue is they made a single mike relay work on three different channels! (Channels 1, 3, 4,) looks like they put jumpers (picture attach...

Re: Over-powered translator

Height is the Key. We have several translators that are above 200+M above sea level mark ranging from 10W to 75W overlooking the city. Their signals are good as a Class A. There are two 250W on the the hill (one is directional). The are all running legal power, but get out extremely well. What the c...

What are you wanting to use Bluetooth for? The audio connection to a phone?

Bluetooth has extremely limited range so anything not within about 20 feet will be sketchy if it works at all.
The phone will be next to the mixer in the pressbox. Yes we will use a cell phone.

Re: Blue tooth mixer and high school games

If you have problems with wireless connections not sure how this mixer would help. As noted, blue tooth is limited in range, so what would it connect to? A cell phone? We do three high school football games each week, so use a variety of connections. We use the JK sport mixer, which has a built in ...
