Hello. I just wanted you to know I split this into it's own topic. You'll get better visibility this way.

If you have an IPA problem you may have your IPA sent to Michael Patton & Associates in Baton Rouge, LA. They repair and Calibrate your IPA. You may have one of your Pallet Amps that is Burnt and only making half the power and Your IPA is only working on one Pallet. Not sure if your ECO 10 has 2 or...
K227BW, Pullman Wa. is 500w I have no explanation for that one. The CP application actually specifies 500 Watts and it was granted as such. Clearly it is a violation of 47 CFR 74.1235(a). I guess I will need to request a kilowatt on the next application that I prepare and see of they grant it. ...L...

I don't miss the KABOOM of the CB trips. Aww but they are so much fun. * especially at 3:30am * on an older style transmitter with the air-gap crowbar circuit. * in a room that echos. Adds life to your blood! (and loss of your hair, vision, sanity.......) Having been in both, I still prefer tube tr...
Well after installing my rheostat(twice), it came back on. However, not without a CB and a couple faults. I then opened it back up and noticed a dark spot with a crack on the HV wire running from the high watt fuses on the CB assy to the Isolation cab(?). I'm guessing I had a bad arc. I replaced it...
Repeated crowbars happen until the Sigma Diamond drive finally goes down. Then it takes an act of God for it to come back up. It CB almost immediately when I beam. I removed the high watt resistors and it still fired. I removed the HV wire going to the CB assy and it did not fire, but failed to bea...
How about a 10-kilowatt class-A FM station? I am guessing that WQUD Erie IL got the ERP and TPO transposed on their license-to-cover application, and the Commission issued the license with an authorization for 10 kilowatts ERP. Does that make them the first C4 station? So could you technical...

I will say that I have had to use your support, over the phone, and it was very good. Quick responsive, and to the point. The issue th...

Reading the parallel threads was giving me a headache. Not sure why two separate threads of the same topic were posted within an hour of each other.
I've merged the two together.
Best guess...Radio Shack tuner or amplifier. It's an Amplifier in that closet that drives a hallway speaker outside of the radio station. One of those little Realistic STA-150 jobs. That LED Sign driver, drives the LED sign in front of that speaker. That little amp just sits there and chugs along. ...
Then of course, there is the fun in having to setup a repaired RDS generator after it's reinstalled in the air-chain. http://www.necrat.us/skippy/wkrp.jpg We were only on the air like this for about 30 minutes before I set it to the correct call sign. I really didn't like the "KRDS" call sign it cam...

I put in two different Broadcast Tools units with good success. One of them in an environment where the power is somewhat dirty and it's held up nicely. It's not super slick like a Burk or Statmon, but it handled the job very nicely.
