Re: C-band TI

I have installed a C-band passband filter between the LNB and rings as you've described. This one is from Dawn Satellite and called a WiMax filter. Is the "AWACS" filter you are referring to anything different? My spec an is up on the hill at the ham repeater at this time.... Single channel not a go...

C-band TI

For the past week I've been getting intermittent Terrestrial Interference on my satellite dish. There is a big quarterly air exercise going on from the local Eielson Air Force Base. I suspect some kind of radar interference. All radio and TV stations in Fairbanks are suffering TI to some extent. I'v...

Re: RSI for Burk ARC Plus Touch - stuck file

OK. When you call on the phone the RSI plays the Greeting message, you enter the passcode, it plays the welcome message and then it play the site name speech label. I had been putting the same custom recording in the welcome message as I had in the site name. All I was trying to do was give the call...

RSI for Burk ARC Plus Touch - stuck file

Hi, I'm setting up an ARC Plus Touch system with Recordable Speech Interface (RSI). I have recorded some .wav files to customize the dial up speech responses. The Welcome Message is what you get after you enter the correct passcode. I put a test message in that field and now I can't get rid of it. U...

Sage ENDEC Printing

For many years my Sage Endecs have been printing on the network to an HP LJ 4000 then LJ 4200 printer. Well the old LJ4200 just lost a fuser and it is not worth fixing. When I enter the IP address of my Canon copier, the ENDEC won't print to it. The Print Log shows an error "device_id failed" ******...

Talk Radio Network goes dark

It seems that TRN has gone away. WW One reports TRN was dropped for non-payment.

Re: computer audio interface - alternative to 3.5mm

Go to properties of recording device and pick stereo instead of mono. duh.
Henry Engineering had told me I needed drivers.

Works fine now.

Re: computer audio interface - alternative to 3.5mm

OK. I had somebody send me an older original Henry USB Matchbox. A nicely built box but does not work correctly under anything newer than Windows XP according to Henry Eng. I have Windows 8.1 The OS identifies the box as a mono microphone, putting left channel audio into both left and right inputs a...

Re: Voter system for repeater

kkiddkkidd I thought about this for a little bit. So... I guess just changing the PL tone keeps the main RX from opening up when you're trying to hit the remote RX. And then if the RVS-8 sees only 1 input (because the main isn't opening) the voting choice is easy because there is only 1 input presen...

Voter system for repeater

Anybody have experience implementing a voting system to bring additional remote receivers into a ham radio repeater?

The LDG Electronics RVS-8 looks like it might have been a good choice but it is no longer made.

Commercial systems look to be many thousands of dollars.

I've got a line on a source for very reasonably priced, gently used Compellors.

Only processed church audio on Sundays... ;)
