Re: Audio Processing?

I'm using an Orban 1100 and Opticodec Ver 3.5 all on my play out box and it's been rock steady. Can't beat the Orban processing sounds just fantastic! I'd love to get a standalone Orban processor, but way out of my budget. Maybe one day I'll build another PC and move the processing to a separate mac...

Re: Choosing between audio mixers. Advice please.

I have a Mackie 1402-VLZ that I've used for years on my internet station 24/7 and it is built like a tank. I can't say for the newer ones but this one is a good one.

Re: Latest Version of Imediatouch and Shoutcast

Okay it's been a few days now. Let's try this and I know there are programs available to do what I want to do but they're $800+ and I'd be willing to pay up to $500 for the same program. Is there a good program that will be an intermediary between iMediatouch and the Orban Opticodec software that wi...

Re: Latest Version of Imediatouch and Shoutcast

Just a bit about what is actually being sent out is listed below and is an example. This is from Opticodec's log file. {time stamp in the log file} |the data being sent through the stream and appears in Winamp or whatever when playing the stream-----------------| [2013/08/22, 11:58:43 UTC-04:00] "Th...

Latest Version of Imediatouch and Shoutcast

To All: Does the latest version of iMediatouch natively support PAD Data to a Shoutcast streaming server? I'm currently running version 3.0.0 of iMediatouch on-air for my web stream and have the data going through Opticodec version 3.5 however, I would have to purchase a seperate intermediary progra...

Re: iMediatouch, Opticodec and metadata

Well shortly after I posted the last post my playout PC decided that its hard drive wanted to fail so it is now being upgraded to a newer much larger drive. Once it is returned I will be back to getting the metadata working. It's strange that no one has worked with this combination of software. I th...

Re: iMediatouch, Opticodec and metadata

which version of OMT? for version 4: OMT NP.JPG We feed the metadata to Center Stage, which reformats and sends to streaming, web page and RDS. The IP and port in the XML UDP field is the Center Stage server. You need to have a local file for XML to write to, also. Version 3.0.0, I used similar set...

Re: ARRGHHH!!! I'm AudioVault Stoopid!

Carts in AV are similar in concept to the old analog tape carts. You have the whole cart itself as the "cart" with individual cuts inside the cart (i.e. the spots you recorded onto the tape). iMediatouch is similar but instead of a "cart" you have rotations for example you'd setup a cut say COM1000 ...

Re: iMediatouch, Opticodec and metadata

Well either everyone is listening to my station or have not worked with this kind of combination of software. I'm hoping someone out there has done this before. Thanks!

iMediatouch, Opticodec and metadata

Well I have my stream going and I am trying to get the metadata (artist/song) for the song from iMediatouch through Opticodec to the streaming server. I am unsure of the settings in iMediatouch's On air program to pass the data to Opticodec. I have UDP set up now but don't know the correct setting s...

Re: Got my first ham ticket

A couple of good ham radio places to visit are QRZ.com and eham.net. They have some valuable forums to ask questions as well as a place to buy and sell equipment. QRZ also has practice exams, which use the exact questions from the FCC exam pool. I took the practice exams numerous times until I felt...

Re: Got my first ham ticket

Thanks guys! I tried taking the online Gen test and well failed it. So I figure if I read the book and study as I did for the Tech one I shouldn't have any problems. I do look forward to getting a rig. I'm just not sure of whether or not I want a handheld or a base unit. I guess both, but right now ...

Re: Got my first ham ticket

Now I'm starting to study for the Gen class license. Ultimately I want to go to Extra, but I want to be certain I can pass each of the exams so I'm taking it one at a time.

Re: Got my first ham ticket

Congrats! Enjoy the hobby, it's a lot of fun. I hope you can get on the air soon. K3ARL Thanks! I do too. I'm still debating on a rig. I'm not sure what to get. There are a couple of transceivers I want, but on a couple money is the problem and one of those is now discontinued so that makes it diff...

Got my first ham ticket

I just wanted to let everyone know that I was able to pass the Technician exam and am now officially a ham operator as KJ4PPA. As soon as I get a rig I may be talking with some of you. That however, may not be a good thing because I may not know when to shut up.
