Re: FCC Rules concerning transmitter site contracts, use, ownership, etc...

Another thing the transmitter owner has for them is that in some jurisdictions if the tower has been there undisputed for a certain amount of time (multiple decades) it is said to be protected by an unwritten easement of some kind..not sure of the legal terms for it..it's similar to certain squattin...

Re: FCC Rules concerning transmitter site contracts, use, ownership, etc...

I don't think there are much FCC rules on contracts like that..best bet is to contact a local lawyer familiar with the local property type laws...alot of communication/broadcast type sites are covered under a perpetual easement (especially if it's an older site). The county would have that type of r...

Re: Weather Radar

one of the smaller cable companies in my area used to have just a channel with a live radar website up ...i don't recall which website it was but that's all it ran 24/7. It was clearly just a scan converter and a computer..because occasionally the blue screen of death would pop up until someone rest...

Re: C-band TI

To find out what C-band freq you are looking at, subtract the indicated freq on the specan from the LO of the LNB (5150mhz). And hope the LNB is using a standard L.O. of 5150 and not one of those odd-balls. While 5150 is normal, I have seen some unusual ones on older dishes. 70 MHZ I.F modems and L...

Re: C-band TI

funny story...I was part of an exercise in northern michigan. A radar site was set up next to a busy highway. When the radar was active...cars that were on the highway when the radar rotated towards the road were shutting down, car alarms would go off, power windows would turn on and off,etc....they...

I talked to their tech support...it will not do AES, which is fine but it would of saved a little time if it did!

all good info, i wasnt looking for anything in particular. Just when you type X-Y protocol into google you don't get much. Not a big fan of Imagine hardware, it's always something with them.
