Re: Getting RDS to transmitter
The Mosely DSP-6000 has two serial ports that work great for RDS. If you run four channels of 15khz audio, then you really can only have one usable serial port, but that works fine. It's unidirectional serial, so you can't get any data back from the RDS encoder. You set the baud rate with the dip sw...
Re: Bad hum
Are any transmitters in the building with the mixer and switcher? It's pretty basic I know, but I like to just plug in headphones starting at the source and then work my way down the transmission path until I hear the hum, then I step back a piece of equipment and start troubleshooting. That's how I...

TRE Message Manager
Does anyone feed TRE Message Manager with serial data over a Moseley Starlink STL? We are trying to do that, and are having issues.
Thanks!

KVM Switch
We are looking for a KVM switch that does active EDID with windows, so it still thinks a monitor and mouse/keyboard are connected. Something that works better with Windows 7.

Re: Starlink LAN
I haven't seen it with my own eyes, or know exactly how it is setup, but the other engineer I work with was able to get the Barix to work over the LAN port on the Starlink. He was surprised it worked!

Re: Starlink LAN
This is a site where we need more than the four audio feeds that we can get with a starlink.
How did you diplex in some Ubiquiti radios?
Thanks!

Starlink LAN
Has anyone used the LAN on the Moseley Starlink? I understand it is simplex, so what can you really do with it?
Could we use a barix on both ends of it if it is in RTP mode? We are trying to get two more channels of audio out to our transmitter.
Thanks!

Re: 2200 or 5500I or something else
It's pretty competitive for commercial stations, but this is a noncommercial and they could care less about loudness (they had unbalanced going into a balanced STL for a long time and it was wayyy quieter!! Ok, I've ruled out the 2200, but what do you guys prefer between an Omnia One and an Optimod ...

2200 or 5500I or something else
One of the stations I engineer for is needing a new processor. I was recommended an Orban 2200, and I found one for $1,500. Would spending more and getting a 5500I be a better idea?
Or is there some better entry level processor? This is an Easy Listening/Oldies station.
Thanks!

Re: Your Biggest On Air Screw up..
Well I just had one a few weeks back. I was installing a new NexGen computer and support had me do a test voice track. Sure enough the next day I get a call that instead of the Bob and Tom intro, it's me going testing, testing, 123, I hope this works!!
