Re: Dead Relio Revived

Two things typically make solder hard to melt: 1.) Using a silver solder. Some lead-free solders contain silver. The melting point is higher than regular solder. 2.) AS mentioned above, caps were possibly connected to PCB planes (most of the time ground or power). These planes can be notorious for t...

Cell phone CAP app...

Anyone know of any kind of an app, iPhone or Android, that checks CAP servers, similar to a monitoring box at a broadcast station?

I can't imagine that it would be hard to create one, since the data is internet based.

Re: Clarification Needed

He can also look to see if the motor is 230/460 capable. Then all that is needed is a rewire in the motor connection box for the correct voltage. But if it is truly a 3-phase motor, 3 phase supply is definitely needed, unless some kind of AC inverter drive is available. The ones we make allow single...

Re: Figures to update HD Small market

The only real buzz about HD is the ability to create additional analog channels with the use of a translator. It has worked well for the big guys in the major markets. Staff would be minimal. It costs little to nothing to put automation on a HD channel. Plus you have an addition 10K+? for Ibiquity ...

Have you looked at Jack? http://jackaudio.org/ Looks like it's just what you want. Available in many flavors, including Windows I've never used it, however... -AJ EDIT: After a cursory glance at the documentation...this might not be the best solution. It looks to be pretty complicated and geared tow...

Re: Broadcast Electronics FM3c Power Supply Motherboard

I was only trying to help...$495 seems to be quite steep for something like that. A drill, some 18 ga. wire, and couple of stainless steel screws and it could be up and running. Or course the photo doesn't show all of the board (the other side) so if there are other damaged parts/area, those would h...

If you want mixing and processing in one package, I still like OtsAV. Does automation, scheduling, logging, and processing all in one program...plus it's remote control-able. http://www.otsav.com

Re: Production Software

On the suject of Reaper... I have actually repurposed Reaper into a live software audio console. Combine that with a 3.3Ghz Core i3 running Win 7 x64, MOTU rack gear, TightVNC, and a laptop, and you have a pretty beefy "no snake" digital audio console wirelessly controlled by the laptop. And clean (...
