Re: BE AM-1A power issue.

I think there are a couple starguides stored in the same building! no idea about the condition of the PS in them, they were here before me.... Any chance of replacing that PS without removing from the rack? I'f not I'm definitely bringing it back to my warm office..... Thanks! This exactly why I pos...

BE AM-1A power issue.

So My AM-1a went off the air. When I get to the building, all the LED's on the two racks are blinking rapidly, at the same time, so it looks like something is failing in the power supply cutting on and off rapidly (Since all the LED's light up briefly on power on). I shut the front panel breaker off...

Re: Harris HT-35CD No filament voltage.

Hmm.... No solution yet, but it has worked flawlessly in the bypassed state since....

I really should find the proper solution some time......

I'd rather get a solid state TX in there though....but finances what they are after this year, not likely to happen anytime soon.

Re: IPTV Encoder

Thanks! Anything I should lookout for when looking for a used EN8030/EN8090? I have seen many of your threads about getting licencing options enabled, do you have success and Is the cost reasonable? Do I need to look for specific HW/SW options to satisfy my stream requirements? A quick search shows ...

Nebula Broadcast

Anybody used this or know anything about it?

https://nebulabroadcast.com/

There's very little and incomplete info. I'm not afraid of linux but if it's abandonware I don't want to waste my time...

Thanks

IPTV Encoder

I have an opportunity to expand our current Cable channel onto the local fiber providers IPTV lineup. I need to purchase an encoder, preferably HD 1080P, with an HD-SDI input. the challenge, I need to do this as cheap as possible right now, once it makes some money I can upgrade, but If I can find s...

Re: Disabling Windows Features Updates

also in regards to windows 10 ltsc, apparently you can not install office 365 on it....MS really doesn't want you to use it.... That is because LTSC is intended for "kiosk" type installations running software which does not need to be updated, not office desktops. Right. And Pro is intend...

Re: Disabling Windows Features Updates

Side note on this discussion. We needed another editing workstation. We purchased a "refurbished" Dell because this particular tower model still had an IDE slot--so we could use an older but still good ASI soundcard. Went around and around trying to activate the new copy of Windows 10. Fi...

Re: Harris FM 20 K pro and con views

As it turns out since in here the owner bought for $17000, a used Harris Z 10 ,I would advised another brand but he has three so parts changes could work .Any ways good by K 20,000. it wasn't a very good transmitter. Huh? A more modern solid state Harris Z-series, will always be a better choice tha...

Re: simple-free or low cost

The other low cost option is Rivendell, but you need IT computer experience. Specifically Linux administration experience. It is a great, reliable system however since the OP put simple in the title......it is simple to use once setup. and you can pay for turnkey systems and support. once setup it ...

Re: Tower replacement for Two combined NON-D AM's

AS it would happen I have module A on the bench right now waiting for transistors from nautel. lost two on one side of the RF amp and one in the modulator, both QAP49. Have yet to troubleshoot beyond that but the ones on the RF amp blew apart the cases, and the one on the modulator board has a sligh...

Re: Tower replacement for Two combined NON-D AM's

Ding Ding Ding...we have a winner. The tower by the university was sold and 1400 was moved to the 780 site. the university has built a new rec center where that site used to be, tower was gone by the time I got here. I'm not really sure why the 780 tower was not replaced then, I'm sure it was in bad...
