Re: Telos Two x6 / Two x12

We were given a Two x12 and have set it up behind an Avaya PBX on analog ports.
  • The Telos Desktop Director is pretty beat up - any ideas on where to source refurbs? All of my normal telecomm suppliers are returning no bid.
  • Are you using any software with the Two x ?

Trilithic MT5634SMI

We just acquired a Trilithic IPTV MT5634SMI EAS Decoder. Downloaded a manual from https://eas.trilithic.com/Documents/Manuals/index.html With the understanding that the use is a non-mandatory system in a commercial podcast studio, Is there anything that someone new to the Trilithic product line shou...

NYC - Trying to determine if the carcass of WBAI is even bothering. I don't see them in the book at all.

PPM Encoding

Any reasonably simple way to determine if your favorite FM is bothering to encode PPM?

Re: RX-only C-band receive station registration, form 312

So how do the non-profits that operate C band systems (NASA TV as an example) make their voices heard without diverting funding from other projects?

Re: Management ignored me when I suggested LPFM....

Lots of good info re carrier current - will throw this out there as it's likely relevant to the loaded neutral suggestions: Facility buys it's power in bulk, delivered on overhead three phase at 13.2 kV. It's stepped down on site to 4160 V, and from there, stepped down again to 120/208 three phase. ...

Re: Management ignored me when I suggested LPFM....

I doubt they would have qualified for an LPFM anyway. These are not for commercial interests. Actually they would have. They are a 501(c)(3), a public museum, and a National Historic Landmark. On the education side, they are partnered with a major university, and the local school district. That bei...

Re: Management ignored me when I suggested LPFM....

They can still buy a translator to use with the AM (if that's what this is all about...hard to tell since "LPFM" is another thing entirely) but it'll have to comply with the minor change rules if they want to relocate it. They don't own any broadcast facilities at all - just a high end podcast stud...

Re: Management ignored me when I suggested LPFM....

You can't. The limit is 100 milliwatts DC input power to the transmitter on AM and 250 uV/m at three meters field intensity on FM. That MS-15 will radiate more than that from the cabinet. Nuts - How bad is the Harris Micro Max in terms of incidental RF leakage? It can be dialed back to 1W in softwa...

Management ignored me when I suggested LPFM....

Management ignored me when I suggested LPFM....
Now they want a transmitter.......
And there are a zillion new translators in every FM slot..........

So, I'm left with Part 15, so what's the legality of reducing the PO of a Harris MS-15 FM Exciter to Part 15 compliance.

Where do I start?

Re: 3M/Scotch 66 Block Connector

Since the Scotchlock ST was EOL'd, another option from Sandman is the 66 Punching Doubler. I have soldered wires to the exposed tab and used 4:1 heatshrink. http://phoneman.com/66-punching-doubler.html
