Re: Rivendell Radio Automaiton

I have RD up in the lab, and have copied enough of my CD collection to the box using RDLibrary to get a good feeling for what it can & can't do. Eldest son is a Linux person, so I have a resource there. here's the question: Anyone using RD with Touchscreens? Example - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

Re: Band stop-Notch Filter suggestions

1/4 wave at 468.3625 MHz is 6.3 inches at 100% propagation velocity. Adjusting that for typical small coax (~66%) you'd need 4.2 inches, but I'd start long and trim off 1/4" at a time while watching the received unwanted signal levels. Once you find the "null" just tape the end, leaving it an open ...

Re: Schematic Needed

I've gone to old analog "hi-fi" tuners off e-bay, both for off-air monitoring and EAS. Have to use a rack shelf (or sit them on top of something else) & out of the box I replace the filter caps. But they have the nice feature of coming back on after power failures tuned to the right station. The Bo...

Band stop-Notch Filter suggestions

I need a Band stop-Notch Filter to reduce ingress to an OTA MATV system. The offending TX antenna is co-located with MATV antenna, with approximately 1 meter vertical separation between OTA MATV and repeater antennas. Nothing I can do about the antenna location. Offending TX is 468.3625000 . RX is 4...

Re: Where to find used equipment?

In case anyone is interested in what the podcast studio studio looks like : http://www.compdecon.org/images/snip_cdl_lab_ca.jpg Cables under the table to the desk are all Belden 8451. I left a large service loop to ease the transition to Krone blocks when the "new" desk is acquired. The monitor head...

My go-to for used equipment is Steve Scarborough at Bay Country Broadcast in Baltimore.
Sent Steve an email from the website - waiting to see what he has in inventory.

Where to find used equipment?

Hi Folks, I'm helping out with the construction of a podcast/remote studio located at a technology museum on the Jersey shore. So far we have been pretty lucky with gear being donated, but have had a run of problematic desks (noise, dead channels, flaky ribbon cables, etc). It's pretty much time to ...
