Looking for simple music player--takes a list, plays cuts randomly, & can insert ID's, liners every so often. For a low power.
Tried Station Playlist, but would cost $400 for anything that would work. Tried Zara, but kept stopping...has to be able to run unattended.
Suggestions?

For a tuner with a clean enough composite output you are probably looking at the Inovonics composite receiver. Unless you can find a used one, probably in the range of $1,600. Sorry--THE-1---uses the same cards as an MX-15 for AFC, etc. Different power amp.

Of the top of my head, I believe there is nothing in the MX-15 that would interfere or eliminate the stereo pilot. Suspect the place to check is with the audio processor, to see if it may be switched to mono.

If you can get a good match to the final, look at a Nautel VS300. It will operate as low as 50 watts comfortably, yet should be enough drive to make your licensed TPO.
