Do you get ice in the Winter?
How tall are your towers?
That's the first things(s) to figure out, you don't want the panels anywhere near the towers in the Winter. Otherwise you get religious panels by Spring.

Re: Women Hearing Distorsion on Station After STL realign

I can remember hearing the horizontal oscillator in TV sets. Way back when. At least I still can remember. What were we talking about?

Whatever it's supposed to be, there's probably a couple of spiders and dead crawly things in there.

Re: FCC drops main studio rule

I haven't read the R&O yet but for the most part the station "control point" has been the engineer's phone for years now. Unless the station is stupid enough to pull all their programming "off the bird" at the transmitter there still will need to be a location originating programming, cutting and i...

Any body can help me setting up a Harmonic Proview 7k or 7100 to use the GbE ports? Can I stream the program to a pc using an app like VLC?

If there are peaks that sound ratty, the audio is already peak limiting. You may want an ACG unit like the Symetrix 422.

Re: Inventory Advice needed.

You should find out from the company's accountants what's considered capital vs operating expense $$. Any item valued less than the breakpoint, don't inventory it. A spread sheet may be fine to use. A company that produces things would have inventory, and that would take something better. Use a sepa...

Re: Inventory Advice needed.

First thing, determine what value ($$) an object needs to have before counting everything. Many objects should be considered expensable (consumable) rather than depreciable. There's a few companies of the web that'll make to asset tags with incrementing numbers. You could get them with bar codes too...

Re: Arrakis Console issue

sounds like ch 5 has a bad chip, where it mixes it's signal to the buss(es). Got a print? Look for what applies the ch output (post fader) to those busses. Try swapping the chip with a different ch. See if the problem moves to the other ch. Tantalums around that chip would be suspect, also.
