I got a noticed in my Google Email Box/Account coming from a person using the name "8vsbpro" that I had a "Private Message" from them. I haven't been posting anything or coming to even look at this Community Board in months, or maybe a year. I had to get a temporary password to get back in here.

I think the board administrator I am replying to is Chris. I don't know if it was just spam or what. To whomever "8vsbpro" is, if you are real, the board administrator knows who I am, and he can tell you how to contact me. I have too much work to do, I am disabled, little time to spend with my wife, and my Mom maybe dying in the Nursing Home that I don't chat on any boards anymore, and I am not a part of Facebook, Twitter, My Space, etc.

Contact the administrator and he can give you my Google Email address. I use that email account for just junk mail. I will reply there.

I received two messages from this spammer but not through any PM here.

He actually got in two more times.

I ended up changing the PM settings to require a new member to have five posts before being allowed to PM. Hopefully that takes care of it.

Seems my entire PM section is gone. All I have is "Notifications"; nothing about PMs. Even when I go to my own settings there's nothing there for PMs.

I don't think that was your intent, was it?

OK. Fixed it.

I forgot that I had disabled PM's altogether when the spamming started!

Thanks for staying on top of it. I'm not sure why these bums think sending out spam would convince anyone would buy their junk. If anything, it would make me less likely to consider it!
