I've been getting quite a few: "Why are you delaying your newscasts by an hour everyday?" calls...
After a couple of these calls/E-mails, I determined this was happening with folks specifically with Verizon Fios. Apparently, there is a setting/button on the Fios remote where you can set a channel to delay by one or more hours. I've avoided learning what the process of removing that setting, mainly because I don't want to become a Verizon Support Rep.
One nice lady E-mailed me back, and said I was right, that Verizon Support helped her delete that setting. Now our newscasts are on time again. Ironically, most of these folks have no idea that their Fios cable subscription comes with a DVR.
