Hope everyone has a tummy filling experience tomorrow with family and friends.

Soon to be "stuffed". :)

Happy Thanksgiving, all. Mine will be marked by not being on call for the first time since 2003 (and before that back to 1993). Goes with being on the beach. I am starting a new job out of the business Monday. I may yet find a way to screw this up by Christmas!

I am spending Thanksgiving on-call for my 35th straight year...

As we speak, I just finished helping Connie get our version of my mothers chicken dressing in the oven and am doing my transmitter checks before we head to her little sisters house to gorge ourselves.

I hope everybody has a great and quiet Thanksgiving weekend.

Regards,

Thankfully not on call, but never know what will happen if the phone rings.

For those of you who haven't gotten your fill of falling turkeys: WKRP Turkey Drop in 30 Seconds

Hope everyone has/had a wonderful holiday without a call from "Ms. Burke" or your favorite silence sensor or transmitter monitor.

On-call since 1981...does that make me old too?

I did have one call...someone screwed up a shared video folder. A quick VPN session took care of it, then out to the grill to burn some burgers...the family turkey meal is tomorrow, and we weren't eating turkey two days in a row.

By my high-level mathematics I think that makes you even older!

I actually started being on-call in 1977 but had a long break from that from ‘79 to ‘93. Wasn’t smart enough to avoid getting sucked back in, I guess. We’ll see how long it lasts this time.

Bunch of young whippersnappers!

I started that crazy stuff in 1965. (Actually during my draft dodging days in the USAF, starting in 62 over in Germany. Got called out a couple times in the wee hours, but that don't really count). Only times it was tough was just following a squadron party with all the usual culinary components, both solid and mostly liquids. Uf dah!

I was a just a belly bump in 1962. We may need to change your name from Fossil to Paleo.

As broken down as I am right now, I just hope to be semi-functional long enough for radio to be fully killed and refarmed by the FCC.

Paleo........I like that, it has kinda a "high class" tone to it. Wonder what I'd use for a picture.....maybe a one cell amoeba.

From the way it sounds....you are in the "limp home mode". Wanna trade bodies??? Mine is suffering from too many years of doing stupid things! And I thought I was in this profession for the money and the glory! As they say "too soon alt, too late schmart"!

After I had made it to mid-thirties, I realized that full sized boys really shouldn't be racing motorcycles & 4wheelers and climbing towers and... I am paying for the transgressions that I committed in my teens, 20's and thirtys...

Them rules of physics are true. If you fling a 250lb mass of terrified meat against the ground, it hurts twice as much as does a 125lb mass of terrified meat.
