RIP Ralph Winquist

Post by Bill DeFelice » Sun Mar 26, 2017 2:28 pm

I just received word that broadcast engineer Ralph Winquist passed away a couple of weeks ago.

I don't know if anyone here remembers Ralph but besides being quite active in the broadcast industry he provided quite a bit of assistance to non-comm stations here in Connecticut, including WPKN, WMNR, WVOF, WWPT, WGSK, WSLX and WHUS in addition to engineering a multitude of AM, FM and TV clients from Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts and Puerto Rico.

Just wanted to post this in case there are others who remember Ralph. His graveside service will take place this Tuesday.

I didn't know Ralph but I recognize some of those call letters. If he was helping WPKN in the early 70s I probably saw some his handiwork.

Condolences to his family and those who knew him.
