Nautel Xmtrs -- For Sale

Post by dd92251 »

Does anyone have an idea what a fair price for each of these would be ? Nautel J-1000 and a ND-1

Both rigs are fully functional and were the Main/Aux for a station that has now gone dark.

I've got my ideas as to their value, but I'd like to see what others think.

Best Wishes

The ND-1 is about to go out of "economical service" life due to some NLA components, but it is still a good transmitter and easily retuned to a different frequency despite what Nautel will tell you. I'd try for $5,000 as-is.

The J-1000 is current and should bring $7,500-$8,500 if in good condition.

On that, I'm pretty sure I've got access to the filter tuning procedure - and Mark's right, it's pretty basic, it's only a 50 in/50 out T-network. Let me know if I can assist.

The only tricky part is getting the shunt leg of the tee network set to j0 at the third harmonic, but other than that it's a fairly easy job if you have the right test equipment.
