Others are also using RoboTask (about $100). It was not written for Radio but seems to be very generalized with some powerful scripting capabilities.

I'm also looking for a program to automatically download audio files from various FTP sites for ingest into the automation system.

I was wondering if anyone has done a comparison between Radio Spider, Web Gopher, and RoboTask?

There are free trials for each, but it still takes time to come up to speed on each one.
