Mark (DeepThought) is much smarter than me, so he's probably leading you in a better direction than I am.

According to Nicom, the amber LED is normal operation.

You need an engineer...

Do you hear anything on the air? Totally quiet on 91.3? Stereo indication on 91.3? Noise or other stations on 91.3? Do you hear something on the air sitting at the tx site and then it fades away quickly as you drive away?

Your telemetry readings sound like the EO tx is dead but the meter in the picture seems to indicate that the tx is making about 650w. I don't see any fault lights on...

Looking at the Optimod readings in the video, it appears that you have audio TO the audio processor.
On the Optimod, put the multimeter switch into the L Input Buffer & R Input Buffer positions and you should see basically a VU meter response.

It is dead air on 91.3. No static just silence. It goes to static when I power off the Nicom unit. Just emailed Dario. Here is a pic of the status screen when powering up the Nicom unit...

That picture indicates that you have very heavy modulation. I suspect that you have a problem with the Nicom exciter unit.

Does the bar gragh of square blocks move with audio input or just stay pinned to the right?

Have you tried simply powering off everything and rebooting the exciter?

I will heartily recommend Reelaudio. He is a lot closer to you than I and was going to be my suggestion for a local engineer.

Update. I have been back and forth with Dario from Nicom and he says the unit is bad... "The modulation is peaked out. The unit needs to come in for service the audio section of the motherboard needs rebuilt." We will be sending the unit out on Monday and either getting it replaced or repaired. I will also try changing the input levels on the Optimod as recommended. Thank you all for your help. I will keep you updated.

See what Kevin Kidd said above, and follow his advice. It is for your best interest to have a qualified engineer look into this at this point. Especially when dealing with a part of the air-chain.
