EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY NOTICE

APPLICATIONS ARE BEING ACCEPTED BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 30, 2007, UNTIL POSITION IS FILLED.

POSITION: Broadcast Transmission Engineer, The CW 28 Station in Providence, RI.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Applicant must be able to install, troubleshoot and repair broadcast transmitter equipment and control monitoring systems. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs., work on towers, ladders and work in confined spaces when necessary. Needs to be highly self-motivated and be able to work with little or no supervision. Must be able to work varied shifts and be on call 24/7 and be able to respond immediately to any transmission emergency. Position will be responsible for FCC compliance, site management and all routine or preventative maintenance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Must be proficient in Harris SD HD high power UHF transmitters, RF filters and combiners, satellite downlinks, HD up-converter and encoding systems, DS-3 interface equipment. Must have working knowledge of computers and networking technologies digital audio/video systems and transmitter remote control systems. Requires at lease 5 years experience in broadcast. SBE certification is preferred.
