Saga’s Milwaukee radio cluster seeks a Chief Engineer.

Rare opening for an experienced Chief Engineer for our radio stations in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Milwaukee Radio Group is a cluster of five radio stations including WKLH (FM), WHQG (FM), WJMR-FM, WNRG (FM) & WJYI (AM).

The Milwaukee Radio Group is a premiere group of well-respected stations and state of the art equipment. In the last two years, we have upgraded four of our studios to AoIP, installed three new transmitters, and improved our overall plant with state of the art equipment.

Candidate must have experience in AM & FM RF transmission systems including HD radio, analog and digital studio audio and sufficient IT knowledge to work with, install and maintain broadcast automation, DAW’s and general computers. SBE and FCC certifications are a plus.

Candidate must have good interpersonal skills, be a self starter who can take charge of projects and organize his or her own work day. Candidate will be responsible for developing annual local engineering capital expenditure budgets and help plan future growth and upgrades.

Candidate will have the autonomy to hire contractors with special skills to help with engineering projects.

Candidate will work with IT Director who provides most of the IT intensive support for the stations. The Chief Engineers of other Saga clusters are available to share advice and aid as needed. Corporate Director of Engineering will provide support on engineering and legal matters.

Offer includes a competitive salary, cell phone, excellent health plan, and a 401k plan.

We open our doors for candidates to talk to other Saga engineers about our great working environment, professionalism, and the enviable reputation of our company.
