There's a reason why I swear by Nautel and not at them, it's called their people. They support their gear, it's reasonably well built and and conservatively engineered. And they take care of their owners and caretakers. Perfect they may not be to everybody, but I swear by Nautel gear. (P.S. I like many a BE transmitter, and care for many, and reliability has been top notch.). Both I can repair as I need to. Jeff Welton's a name you need to know, have an issue with anything they make, he'll make sure you get sorted in every way he can. Get Nautel, and be happy you did!

To the point of the Ecreso being FCC certified, yes, for some unknown reason, they do not clearly state this on the website or advertising, but I was able to get them to send me the certification paperwork and I verified the ID on the FCC website.

Obviously I'm late to this party - I need more hours in every day. :) I don't suspect you'll have any issue with the Ecreso, they're not bad from the very little I know about them.

As mentioned, definitely for any Nautel questions, anybody can feel free to contact me - but the absolute best way is by email or phone, definitely not the forums, as much as I hate to say it - I watch about 15-20 different forums, facebook pages and email lists and when I'm busy with the real job, especially from April to October, I don't check them nearly as often as I'd like to.

Someone asked for my experiences with the Ecreso FM350W once I got it up and running...

Well, I FINALLY got it online a few days ago. So far, so good. It is much quieter and runs cooler than the Nicom we were running. The setup was a little intimidating - biggest factor was the manual is not as good as it should be. There are also mistakes in the manual like referring to other sections in the manual that don't exist and screen setup options that don't exist. I was able to get it figured out eventually. There also needs to be much better and more detailed descriptions of the various options in the Audio Processor section of the manual.

They sent a European power cord with the transmitter. Yeah, I understand they are built in Europe, but really? Seems like they could send an American cord when it is being shipped to America! When I called tech support to verify that I could use a standard power cord on 110V / 60Hz, the technician said "I'm not sure, but it shouldn't hurt to try"! Needless to say, I wasn't impressed. It does work fine on that power though.

Operationally, it's working great. It took a lot of tweaking in the audio processor to get the quality where we wanted it, but I am impressed with the sound overall and the features and configuration options. No appreciable change in coverage area at 100W ERP. We still need to setup the networking - I am waiting for an IT guy to have some time to come help us with that, as again, the manual was pretty weak.

Thanks again for all the feedback and advice.
