Harris Z-series with Burk Plus Connect interface

Post by jantonuk » Tue Mar 06, 2018 7:20 pm

I am installing a new ARC Plus Touch system on several old Harris Z-series transmitters. Two Z-10's and a Z-20.
I have the Plus Connect interface with a serial connection to the transmitter controller

Anybody else have experience with this?

one question is on the status pick list there is both:
XMTR On High Power

Any idea what the difference is?

Do you have a Z-20 (two Z-10's glued together) and how are you interfacing with the system controller? (not the A or B controllers)

According to the documentation from Harris there are 2 status items in the serial protocol.
As to what the difference is, I am not sure. Just pick whichever one works for you :D
As for the Z20, the system controller is from the PT transmitter era. There is no serial connection available, just discrete points available via the 25 pin D connector on the back. If your Z20 has a switch-less combiner, that will also have it's own PT-era control unit which has a 25 pin remote connector.

Pinout for the Z20 system controller is attached.
