Wheatstone Vorsis M2 Mic Processor Question

Post by cjcruze »

Does anyone here have experience setting up a Wheatstone Vorsis M2 mic processor? I purchased a pre-owned model and I’m having what sounds like “air” for lack of a better term when I turn on the mic. It doesn’t matter what preset or adjusted preset I use. I have attached an audio sample

We have some M2s here, but it has been a right good while since I set them up.

Couple of quick questions:

Is the "air" sound present with mic pot turned on, but with the mic unplugged?

Can you make the sound go away by turning up the expander?

If I recall correctly, the input/output levels need to be carefully adjusted. If they are set too high you will get a lot of noise.

Have you contacted Wheatstone?
