PPM Monitor

So our Nielsen PPM monitor at the college did not like being unplugged and moved from rack to rack. It's now stuck in a boot loop.
I know very little about this box or the PPM encoders (which are both missing their keys). Is this box owned by Nielsen?
Do I contact them on it or do I need to contact someone else?

I know years ago for the TV side, I used to deal with Frank Brunner out of Nielsen in Florida, but not sure if he also deals radio or even still is a contact there.

Try contacting Keith at Arbitron 667-786-4572. Nice guy, great to work with....he should be able to help.

Another senior moment......get the serial number off the rear of the encoder, along with the model number. That will help speed up the process of determining if it is theirs, or yours.

not sure about the monitor, but for encoders I got this gem from someone at nielsen when ours was giving an error at bootup (after a Storm induced power outage)

"Fatal Errors will often recover if both front panel buttons are pushed and released while the encoder is in bypass." youd need to find the keys...I doubt they are unique to each unit, so if nielsen cant help you I bet someone has an extra key somewhwere.

As one who works in a non-metered market, I have to (jokingly) ask, is the PPM hardware violet in color? Ever since the first discussions of it I've thought of PPM as the Purple People Meter.
