RSI for Burk ARC Plus Touch - stuck file

Post by jantonuk » Thu May 03, 2018 2:58 pm

Hi,

I'm setting up an ARC Plus Touch system with Recordable Speech Interface (RSI).

I have recorded some .wav files to customize the dial up speech responses.

The Welcome Message is what you get after you enter the correct passcode.

I put a test message in that field and now I can't get rid of it.

Using AutoLoad Plus I have deleted this message and put a built-in word in its place to try to overwrite my test.

When I call the system and enter the code, I hear the built-in word and then my test message even though I've deleted it with AutoLoad.
And yes, I did save my change up to the unit.

I've rebooted the unit.

Burk's reply: "huh, it's not supposed to do that...."

Your experience?

thanks,
John

OK. When you call on the phone the RSI plays the Greeting message, you enter the passcode, it plays the welcome message and then it play the site name speech label. I had been putting the same custom recording in the welcome message as I had in the site name. All I was trying to do was give the caller an ID of the site once they entered the correct passcode.

So with the recording in two fields, it played twice. I thought it was stuck and repeating itself.

not documented anywhere :(
