Lock (Unlisenced)

Post by andivine » Tue Jun 12, 2018 7:55 am

I have an Ericsson Rx 8200 decoder which I am using to run a test for a migration.

Upon locking to the carrier I have this message: Status: Locked (Unlicensed)

The received levels were; C/N: 15.4 dB, Margin: 6.5

In the status, the video is not running

Please can you help.

Yes, you do not have a license for the format which you are running.

On the Ericcson receivers, certain video formats, such as 4:2:2 (or is it 4:2:0) you need a license to have the receiver decode the video.

If you go into the webpage of the receiver, and look at the video it is trying to decode, it'll tell you the format. Then in the device info, you can see what you have licensed and unlicensed.

You'll have to then contact Ericcson to purchase a license for that format.
